Part-Time Accounting Specialist
Department: AccountingGeneral Qualifications
The Accounting Specialist must be a mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in his/her faith. He/she must be fully in accord with Carolina Creek Christian Camps (Carolina Creek) mission statement, and statement of beliefs; committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization. He/she must be of strong moral character and integrity.
Position Objective
The Part-Time Accounting Specialist is an entry level position responsible for assisting the accounting functions of the Operations department of Carolina Creek Christian Camps. He/she is responsible to model a genuine lifestyle of Christian discipleship, nurturing spiritual growth of staff in a manner consistent with Carolina Creek’s mission, vision and values.
Job Type
- Part-Time, Non-Exempt
- Pay: $12-$15 an hour
Key Job Accountabilities
- Assist in the day-to-day tasks that may include data entry, credit card statement reconciliation/processing, accounts payable, and any other needs as identified.
- Research discrepancies in data.
- Assist in keeping track of leases and contracts
- Work with HR to complete payroll which may include payroll exceptions, payroll deductions, and any other needs as identified.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Actively engage and help build the staff community through a godly attitude, words, and actions.
- Manage resources entrusted to him/her according to budget. Work collaboratively to achieve corporate financial goals.
- Actively participate in, and contribute to, the broader camp programs of Carolina Creek.
- Other duties as assigned that support the mission of Carolina Creek. Generally being available to do whatever is needed with a joyful heart as unto the Lord.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Reports to the Director of Business and Accounting.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
- High school diploma or equivalent required, advanced training in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.
- Must also have a current valid driver’s license.
Work Experience
- Some previous experience in bookkeeping or related field is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be organized and detail oriented, able to manage time effectively.
- Must be confidential and discreet when dealing with sensitive information
- Must be proficient with the creation and management of spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Must be analytical and accurate.
- Must be willing to further knowledge and training in accounting and be a quick learner
- Must possess strong interpersonal relations skills and be able to work collaboratively with others
- Must possess emotional and spiritual maturity
- Must possess a developed sense of empathy
- Must be flexible with an ability to adjust and problem solve in challenging situations
- Able to engage in active listening
- A heart to serve wherever and whenever needed
Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in hot and humid conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, ability to lift/carry anywhere from 15 to over 60 lbs. Requires operating motor vehicles in the course of their duties.

- Satisfactory completion of background investigation, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Part-time Food Service Specialist
Department: Food ServiceEDUCATION
- Must have a current valid driver’s license.
- Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- None required
- Previous food service experience preferred. Must possess an ability to work long hours.
- Assist in food preparation
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed
- Attend all required staff meetings and events
- Actively participate in and contribute to the broader camp programs of Carolina Creek
- Actively engage and participate in the staff community through a godly attitude, words, and actions
Part-time Adventure Recreation Specialist
Department: ProgramEDUCATION
- Current valid driver’s license preferred.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to pass camp-specific adventure facilitation training.
- Must be CPR and First Aid Certified (online courses are not accepted).
EXPERIENCE
- None required
- Facilitate challenge course, zip line, and other adventure activities with campers and adults of all ages
- Facilitate general recreation areas such as disc golf, target sports, field games, etc.
- Fill in as needed in other activity areas when ropes activities are not active
- Safely instruct all adventure elements
- Provide general upkeep and cleanliness of all activity sites as well as camp property
- Assist the program team in the nightly programs (dependent on camp center)
- Assist with general program functions, including serving meals, cleaning, parking, and more
