Guest Experience Specialist Hosting/Event Execution

Department: Guest Relations

Can you uphold the alignment of the guest experience with Carolina Creek’s mission and values while seamlessly liaising with various departments before and during events to ensure smooth execution and understanding of expectations? General Qualifications

The Guest Experience Specialist must be a mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in their faith. They must be fully in accord with Carolina Creek’s mission statement, and statement of beliefs; committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization. They must be of strong moral character and integrity and have demonstrated leadership qualities.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Work as a professional retreat host, anticipating needs and facilitating all aspects of events for programmed retreats and camps as well as guest groups.
  • Understand and ensure that the guest experience aligns with Carolina Creek’s mission and values.
  • Interface with all departments before and during events to make sure that housekeeping, food service, maintenance, grounds, activity staff, health staff, and other service staff understand expectations.
  • Proactively minimize any conflicts between concurrent groups. 
  • Lead recreational activities when needed.
  • Serve on the team that provides access control management and climate control year-round.
  • Lead in serving guests, particularly upholding standards for customer service, cleanliness of facilities, support of the dining experience, provision of recreational activities, and impromptu needs of any group.
  • Respond creatively, patiently, courteously, and professionally to unanticipated events, such as inclement weather, injuries, delays, and conflicts between groups.

Part-Time (Hourly)

Dining Specialist

Department: Food Services

Position Objective

The Dining Specialist will support the Shift Supervisor/Cook to accomplish the department goals and in compliance with Carolina Creek’s mission, vision and values. As part of the Operations team, the Dining Specialist is to collaborate in providing Christian hospitality for our guests and leading their teammates to do the same, by example. They are responsible to model a genuine lifestyle of Christian discipleship in a manner consistent with Carolina Creek’s mission, vision and values.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Set up and clean Salad bar
  • Set up and clean Condiment bar
  • Pan food for serving
  • Assist with food preparation as assigned, e.g. , panning food and chopping vegetables
  • Serving line preparation
  • Supervise the Serving Line and replenish food when running low
  • Running food from the cook to the serving line and/or from the kitchen to salad/buffet service areas
  • Fill and clean drink and ice machines

Shift Supervisor/Cook

The Shift Supervisor/Cook will support the Food Service Director in accomplishing the department goals in compliance with Carolina Creek’s mission, vision, and values.   • Cooking and preparing the food
  • Accountability of dining specialists & seasonal staff
  • Check time cards as assigned
  • Oversee all food preparation
  • Responsible for planning for and overseeing meals/snacks for guests with special dietary needs
  • Oversee serving line preparation and front of the house
  • Ensure that the cleanliness of the kitchen/service areas are maintained according to established standards
