Bus Driver
Department: ProgramGeneral Qualifications
The Bus Driver must be fully in accord with Carolina Creek Christian Camps (CCCC) mission statement, and statement of beliefs; committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization. He/she must be of strong moral character and integrity.
Position Objective
To safely transport guests and staff during our summer programs and throughout the year.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
- Must have a current valid Texas commercial driver’s license (CDL) adequate to allow them to legally operate a vehicle with 16 or more passengers.
Work Experience
- Previous experience in transporting children in buses strongly preferred
Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in hot and humid conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, and ability to lift/carry anywhere from 15 to over 60 lbs.
Additional Requirements
- Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
- Satisfactory completion of background investigation, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ensure that all laws and regulations are followed in regard to the safe transportation of guests and staff in Carolina Creek’s buses.
- Help with the upkeep and cleanliness of Carolina Creek’s buses.
- Help ensure that Carolina Creek’s buses are in good mechanical order, and report any maintenance, or other issues as they arise.
- In the summer, transport campers and staff to Carolina Creek’s Lake Livingston property in Point Blank, wait for the boating activities to be completed, and transport them back to the camp.
- Support staff members with camper discipline and emergency management on bus trips if needed.
- The ability to transport passengers on a bus in a safe and professional manner.
Boat Driver
Department: AquaticsBoat Drivers create a memorable experience for campers to laugh, challenge themselves and enjoy God’s creation, while facilitating a fun and safe environment for campers to enjoy being on the water, experiencing nature and tubing.
General Qualifications
The Boat Driver must be at least 19 years of age, a mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in his/her faith. He/she must be fully in accordance with Carolina Creek Christian Camps (CCCC) mission statement, and statement of beliefs; committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization. He/she must be of strong moral character and integrity. Must be able to fulfill all job responsibilities and physical demands, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Must have a current valid driver’s license
- Must be lifeguard certified or able to attend or LG Training
- Must be willing and able to obtain a boating license
Work Experience
- Previous experience in transporting children in boats strongly preferred
Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in hot and humid conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, hiking long distances on varied terrain, shouting, ability to lift/carry anywhere from 15 to over 50 lbs., and engage in difficult and exhausting manual labor, often over long stretches of time without breaks. The position also requires the ability to drive a vehicle with passengers. This position requires the physical ability to pass the Red Cross Lifeguard class.
Additional Requirements

- Satisfactory completion of background investigation, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Position is responsible for the safety of all staff and guests on and around boating and Cable park activities
- Help facilitate campers’ experiences in wakeboarding, zup boarding, and recreational tubing
- Maintain cleanliness of boats, vehicles, equipment, docking areas, and cable park area
- Inspect vehicles and equipment daily, and report any safety or maintenance issues promptly
- Fill in as needed in other activity areas when waterfront activities are not active
- Assist the program team in the nightly programs (dependent on camp center)
- Assist with general program functions, including serving meals, cleaning, parking, and more
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Prior experience driving boats on public waterways preferred
- Must be able to fulfill all job responsibilities and physical demands, with or without accommodation.
