Our Approach

image description

We Are Christ-Centered

Carolina Creek is an independent, non-denominational camp ministry inviting people to know and experience the love of Jesus Christ. We major on the majors and minor on the minors, focusing on Christ’s love and directing complex doctrinal issues to parents and pastors.

image description

The Bible Is Our Source Material

Camp provides countless ways to learn using all of our senses, our hearts, minds, and imaginations. We mine the teachable moments that are created by activities, dramas, games and being in nature. Time alone with God in His Word, small and large group teaching and discussion, worship through music and movement all allow campers to come alive to God in His revealed truth through Scripture.

Our Summer Staff Is Second To None

Specialized activity and support staff ensure that counselors get to focus on loving kids and processing every part of their camp experience. We are diligent in hiring young adults who love Jesus and kids, are exemplary role models and will cherish your child all day, every day.

Safety Is Our First Priority

We work closely with consultants, licensing agencies, vendors and advisors to ensure best practices in emergency procedures, medical care staff recruiting and hiring, activities, food service and security. We strive to keep kids safe physically, emotionally and spiritually.

We Partner With Churches

Carolina Creek values the work of the church and will do all that we can to make the camp experience an integral part of your year round ministry. Let us know how we can build on your foundation and help your campers take the next step in their life with God, whether through attending a Carolina Creek camp or creating one of your own. Call (936) 261-8334 for rates and options.

We Include Campers With Special Needs

We welcome campers who need special care due to physical, mental, medical or behavioral challenges. Contact our Special Care Coordinator to see how we are able to best serve your family.

FAQs

Are linens provided?

Carolina Creek does not provide linens or towels for camper/guests staying in our cabins or lodges at Lakeview, Creekside or The W!LD. All cabins and lodges have bunk beds with twin-sized mattresses. Each person will need to bring their own linens or sleeping bag, pillow and towels.

Bed linens and towels are provided in the Riverfront Lodge & Lakehouse only.

Is there internet access?

Yes, wifi is brodcast across our campus. There are some dead zones, but all common area buildings (dining halls, meeting spaces, etc) have wifi. Please ask your Carolina Creek Host if you are in need of faster speeds for work, and they will be glad to connect you to our secure network.

What camp policies should I be aware of?

  • Carolina Creek does not allow groups to bring or prepare their own meals except in the Adult Guest Lodge.
  • Carolina Creek does not allow gum, candy, snacks, or drinks (other than water) in cabins.
  • Carolina Creek recommends that campers travel through camp in groups of 4 or more.
  • Carolina Creek prohibits male and female campers from entering each other’s sleeping quarters at any time.
  • Carolina Creek requires shirts, shorts, and shoes to be worn at all times except in swimming areas. In swim areas, ladies should wear a one-piece swimsuit and guys may not wear speedos.
