A Message from our Executive Director regarding COVID-19

22 September 2022

To our valued Ministry Partners,

There is no higher priority to our entire Carolina Creek Family than the health and safety of our guests and employees. We are in close communication with medical professionals, government agencies, our peers in professional Christian Camp ministry and internal teams to stay on top of this evolving situation, and of course we are continually monitoring the communiques from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO.)

According to the most recent information from the CDC, for most people, the immediate risk of being exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to be low. Nonetheless, we understand the concern of parents, pastors and others who care about kids.

We want you to feel confident when planning for and attending your camp or retreat at Carolina Creek. As a result, we have enhanced our cleaning and disinfection procedures for the duration of this situation. We have also edited our screening protocols and guest orientation to help prevent the possible spread of any communicable disease.

We know that you may also be concerned about possible scenarios that would make it difficult to fulfill your contract obligations. Since this is an unprecedented and unforeseeable situation, we do not have any predetermined response with regard to how we might ameliorate this. We can reassure you that, in prior situations where our ministry partners have been unable to attend or bring their anticipated numbers, we have done everything in our power to seek the highest and best outcome for all parties. We are committed to seeking creative solutions that honor Christ and advance His Kingdom. We care deeply about your ministries, as we know you care about the viability of Carolina Creek. We ask for your patience and trust as we let the circumstances play out over the coming months.

Most of our seasonal staff who serve guests have gone home, and, like you, our full-time staff are working from home to the degree possible. We’re doing our part to protect the health of our community and to serve our neighbors.

We are prepared to navigate through this challenging adventure with your safety and confidence in Carolina Creek at the forefront of everything we do. We are eager for each and every guest to know and experience the love of Jesus Christ at camp, and with God’s help, we will leap over or knock down any barriers that stand in the way.

We look forward to seeing you at camp soon,
